- We will first visit the Fort Aguada – Fort Aguada has a historical legacy of about 400 years. It’s an enormous and eye catching citadel defining the landscape of Goa. The fort along with its lighthouse is one of the top-most visited tourist attractions in Goa. Located in Candolim village, one of the major tourist village in North Goa, Fort Aguada is erected overlooking the Arabian Sea and offers spectacular views of the surrounding areas. An paradigm of Portuguese heritage and architecture, this 17thcentury fort definitely deserves to be on your itinerary.
- Promoted as the “Queen of Beaches,” Calangute Beach, Goa is by far one of the most popular and spellbinding beaches in the city. It is the most prominent beach and is located in North Goa. The beach is mainly famous for its vibrant atmosphere that is indeed matchless. Surrounded by landscape, this beach is spread over an area of four miles along the Arabian Sea.
- One of the prettiest churches, Church of Mae De Deus is situated in Saligao, Bardez. The popular church is set amidst picture perfect settings of Goa’s countryside and boasts Neo-Gothic architecture style. This popular church in Goa is known for housing the miraculous statue of Mae de Deus (Mother of God) brought from the ruins of the convent of Mae de Deus at Old Goa. Amongst other attractions of this church in Goa is its Roman-gothic style steeples. In the evening, all light up, Church of Mae De Deus looks quite a spectacle to see in Goa. On the first Sunday of the month of May, the church also celebrates the feast of Our Lady, Mother of God. On this occasion, a grand procession followed by a firework display take place.
- Located on the west coast of Goa by the Arabian Sea, Anjuna Beach is one of the best beaches in Goa. The hippies were the first people to come here in the 1950s and since then Anjuna Beach is a hotspot in Goa for local and international tourists. Anjuna Beach grows on you as you take a stroll along the glowing white sands and enjoy the sight of gently swaying palms in front of you.
- Vagator is a brisk coastal area centered on Vagator Beach, known for its impressive red cliffs. At neighboring Ozran (Little Vagator) Beach, Vagator Cliff is a popular party spot drawing hip crowds to watch the sunset from sea-view bars and clubs. Global eateries, casual beach shacks, and trendy cafes along the coast serve indo-foreign fusion cuisine, while low-key backpacker haunts and upscale resorts cluster inland.
- One of the primary reasons for the popularity of Baga Beach is its vivacious nightlife, with many bars, restaurants and nightclubs located along the beach. The beach also offers a number of water sports including parasailing, banana boating and jet skiing, making it a hub for adventure enthusiasts.
